A message from our CEO
Road Freight NSW has advocated for our membership this year in what could be characterised as a tough year with a lot of proposed changes and significant and sustained costs to the industryÂ
This year Road Freight NSW has advocated on a number of issues with the NSW government including:
- Over Height Trucks in Tunnels report – Industry working with government to deliver solutions.
- Advocacy regarding heavy vehicle signage and information for new tunnels.
- Advocacy against the NSW Freight Reform PBLIS Directives.
- Advocacy with regards to new Sydney infrastructure.
- Consistent and correct advice on new and significant IR legislation.
- Tolling Reform by way of a reduced truck multiplier and cash back to operators and a independent toll regulator
- Roll out of projects for road repair particularly in rural and regional areas.
- Speed limit increase from 80km to 90km/hr implemented for Sydney’s Westconnex.
- Icare insurance premiums.
