2016 Conference

How Road Freight NSW is working for you!

A special occasion as we held the first RFNSW conference as an independent body. We brought key stakeholders, industry figures and our partners together to help chart a path forward for the industry as a whole, culminating in discussions that helped develop our first set of policy motions, with direct input from members.

Speaker Summary

As the first conference for RFNSW in it’s new form, our CEO Simon O’Hara spoke passionately about his first few months in the role and his early plans for the organisation, including setting up sub-committees and getting direct input from foundation members.

Nathan Cecil from transport law specialists Holding Redlich spoke on how freight companies could protect themselves under government regulations, while offering members discounted rates on legal services. We also heard from new Roads Minister John Sidoti on the NSW Government’s plans for the industry. Other speakers included Peter Caprioli from the NHVR, Trish Grunert from the RMS and Owen Driscoll from NTI, who hosted panel on the ATA TruckSafe program.
